Advance’s story began in 2006 on a desolate stretch of interstate that connects Phoenix to Los Angeles. In the middle of the desert, in the quiet of a rental car, Pastor Ryan Lunceford sensed God calling him to start a church. He didn’t know when, he didn’t know where, and he certainly didn’t know how; he just knew that someday he would pastor a church that would advance God’s kingdom into the lives of thousands of people.

Four years later, in January 2011, Pastor Ryan and his wife, Kristen, moved their three children from the suburbs of St. Paul, MN to the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, NV where they, and two other families, began dreaming—in a small living room—of what it would be like to see a church rise up in Las Vegas that was known more for what it did than for what it said; a church that would be made up of people who desire to be faithful in their living, unapologetic about their vision, excellent in their effort, fearless with their approach, and relevant to their generation.

Since then, the vision for Advance Church has grown to include seeing thousands of lives altered by Jesus and mobilized for His glory through a network of churches in the Las Vegas area and the Western United States.
