Every Wednesday Advancers around the valley take 15-20 minutes to pray for Advance and its efforts. I invite you to join with us from your office, home, or just out and about. Here are the top four prayer items for this week:
- Our Worship and Creative Pastor’s B-Day! Today is Jordan’s birthday. Let’s all thank God for him and Kristen (his wife). Almost a year ago they sold their house, quit their jobs, and moved across the country to help start Advance. If you want to wish him a happy birthday, do so on his Facebook page.
- Wise Series. Many of you have mentioned how the Wise series has been extremely helpful. I know that has been true for me as well. Pray that it continue to has an impact on our lives and that God would give us the courage to seek His wisdom in our daily lives.
- Sunday’s BBQ in the Park. After church on Sunday we will be having the second “Old School Summer” event. We will be grilling burgers and hot dogs (along with other fare), playing some beach volleyball, and enjoying the company of others. Pray that it brings us closer together as a community and that our friends and family will join us!
- Fall Launch. The fall is an opportune time for us to make a reach into the community. It tends to be a natural time when people are back from summer vacations and getting back into the swing of things. Pray that we will be able to reach out to the community effectively in September and that our planning to do so will be inspired by the Holy Spirit. Pray also for how each of us can continued to be involved in reaching our neighborhoods. Who in your life can you pray for now that you would like to invite at some time in the near future?
